Refurbishment of Chemistry Laboratory (Jun 2006)

The Chemistry Laboratory was one of the first environments where the student body were able to engage in simple practical experiments to enhance their knowledge of the subject.

 The Chemistry Laboratory was refurbished by the OAA 1980 year group which included repairing the shelving, worktops, replacing the lights and repainting all the walled areas.

The Achimota school library established in 1927 is the second oldest Library in Ghana.

 The Mfanstipim old boys association 1980 year group (MOBA 80) as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations, donated computers and printers to their equivalent year groups in some schools.

  The OAA 1980 year group passed on that computer and printer to the School Library for use by the student body for their academic work.

The renowned Aggrey Chapel Choir plays an active part during the Sunday Chapel service and over the years have enriched the lives of the various students who’ve had the honour of being members of the Choir.

 The OAA 1980 year group donated a set of folders for use by Choristers.

The Bursar’s Office is an essential hub in ensuring that the general and financial administrative duties of the school are carried out. During the 1970’s, that Office was efficiently managed by the renowned Mr Roberts and hence the Bursary was rather commonly referred to as Mr Roberts Office by the student body. 

The OAA 1980 year group renovated the Bursar’s Office. This included re-tiling the floors, painting the surface walls and also procuring new filing cabinets for use by the Staff.
